The room was lovely, breakfasts good, staff pleasant, the location convenient,,, and price fair. We would surely book through you again.

I would have liked directions (and nearest metro station) on our reservation confirmation.
...
Bathroom was a little small
...
Paris is expensive. The Tonic Louvre was well priced in it's range and location, but I was still shocked at how much hotels were overall.

The condition of the hotel was not as good as the web site led me to believe. The lobby and the room I stayed in was not as nice as the pictures led me to believe. The toilet in the bathroom didn't even have a toilet seat!
...
The web site photos were misleading...see previous comments. The bed linens and towels were pretty worn.
...
For the price I payed, I was hoping to have nicer, more modern accomodations. However, the hotel has a good location and a friendly staff.

Excellent, thank you.
...
The hotel would benefit from providing in-room hot drink making facilities, ie a kettle and tea/coffee/chocolate.

Other than that it was perfect!
...
The best location from which to see Paris.
...
Value for money in a prime location where you would normally expect to pay more. Nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff.

The woman at the reception desk was very helpful and arranged for a room to be available to us as soon as we arrived.

We quite enjoyed the jacuzzi function of the bathroom which I dan't remember reading about.

I wuold say that it is a comfortable, friendly, modern, extremely well placed for visiting the centre of Paris. It is easily accessible to a couple of different metro stops and is close to a very good shopping street (rue de Rivoli)

The only thing that I found odd about the arrival experience was that no one showed me to my room. I was simply given directions to the building next door and to my room. I am a repeat visitor so I had no trouble with finding my room, but I think a first time visitor might be put off.
...
Very good location. The room was a bit smaller than one would expect in America, but good size by European standards. Steam shower/whirlpool tub a definite bonus. Overall good value for the money.

This hotel is quite good and not bad value
for money, particularly given the central
location . It does however need to be
updated in decor , the areas directly
leading to the bedrooms are very dark and
quite grim.
The staff were very friendly.

Everyone was very helpful, except the manager, who we did not meet during our stay, would not turn on the air conditioner, even though airconditioning was described as an amenity that this hotel provided. Also, we had a package sent there and it arrived after we left, so we left instructions as to where to send it and made provisions to pay for the cost. The manager refused the package and it was return, even though it contained very important documents.
...
As on web, except that airconditioner was not turned on until the last 2 days of our 8 day visit, although we requested numberous times for it to be turned on because of street noise and my allergies.
...
Very good location. Near many sights and 3 subway stations.
...
Very nice bathroom- apparently redone fairly recently.
...
Friendly, quaint, clean with comfortable beds, large enough, wonderful bathroom and wonderful, helpful staff (except for the manager).

We took the metro from Charles de Gaulle airport and had a difficult time finding the hotel from the metro station.
...
Our room was small, but very clean. I loved the large windows.
...
Should have better directions from the metro station.
...
The location is great for seeing Paris. We could walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Seine and Musee D'Orsey. The hotel was quaint and I felt comfortable staying there with my daughter.

That the position in regards to Louvre and Metro...very good...that the breakfast staff were helpful too. I have found that there it is more expensive to stay in Paris...For the price value...I feel that if it included the breakfast the price would be more attractive. But that is just my opinion. As the flight to Paris can be cheaper than earlier years..the airport tax has increased alot. It was a very enjoyable stay at the hotel...the staff are very friendly and helpful.

when we arrived, the initial room was rather disappointing. rather small and seemed cramped. the beds were also unmake and when we went to the lobby to tell them, they moved us to a nice room, more like the one i expected.

At our arrival, people were replacing the carpet in the lobby. It was a bit messy and could be better organized. Next day the job was done.
...
Room was clean, good and quiet, but a bit small. Bathroom was spacious.

Breakfast was badly organized, not worth the price.
...
I didn't check the website again, but the hotel is not suitable for disabled people.
...
Good starting point to explore Paris in all directions.

Unfriendly staff.Room service is a huge
problem for the staff, whom complain and say
they donīt have time because the hotel is
fully booked.
...
The staff clearly donīt like foreigners.Be
prepared to come home to a room where all
your cloths have been taken out of the
cuboard and left in a pile on the bed.The
staff will, when told about this problem,
tell you that nobody has been in your
room.ie you are either lying or did it
yourself. The staff will not come and take a
look.Steam bath??Lots of better & cheaper
hotels near by.Donīt stay at The Tonic.

The directions were fairly good, but it would be helpful to have walking instructions for getting from the RER to the hotel -- determining which exit to follow at the Chatelet Les Halles station was a challenge, and the desk clerk commented that everyone goes the wrong way.

...
I found the staff knowledgeable, but in general, not very friendly. I found staff at surrounding restaurants, hotels, and shops far more friendly.

My room was as expected -- no complaints there.

...
My voucher told me that wi-fi was included in the price. In reality, I was charged E17 per day for Internet access.

My last issue -- I had a friend come to my room for 90 minutes late one evening. The hotel charged me E20 for 'double occupancy' because I did not ask permission first. Perhaps this is common in Europe; I was not expecting it.
...
It was ok. Clean and safe, and reasonably priced, but I probably wouldn't go back. I was in town for a conference, with lots of colleagues at other hotels within a few blocks' radius. Most of them had better experiences. Next time I'm in Paris, I will visit one of those hotels.

I'm admittedly a mono-lingual American. I attempt to speak the language of the country I'm in, but my French is absymal. I greatly appreciate the fact that the service industry in Europe speaks English, and most everyone I ran into was very friendly and helpful. My hotel was the only place where I felt like an unwelcome visitor.

received two different messages about when to book a large taxi for my family of five. One said the day we left, another saide the day before. Caused some anxiety as they went through the phone book calling taxis the morning our train left for Basel.
