Perfect location, accommodating staff and a pleasure to return to every evening. Special thanks to Richard for assuring us that all is well and that a piece of luggage that was misplaced by the US airline would be found and brought to us. ... I would return yearly and plan to stay there as the staff made the stay quite enjoyable and pleasant. ... Included breakfast was a plus and the coffee was excellent. Very polite and professional staff. ... Average size room with WiFI, very nice bathroom and good climate control. Comfortable bed, very clean and a professional staff to answer any questions, day or night.

Very friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. ... Really enjoyed the experience. Will probably stay there again the next trip. ... A small, professionally run, friendly, neighborhood hotel.

Paris is expensive, particulary the latin quarter that's why I would say it is a fair value for the money rather than good. No fault of the hotel. ... Charming, typically parisian, build in xxxx, excellent hospitality, close to everything.

Renegotiated a different room type and rate which I was very happy with ... Enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it to 15 nights ... Really lovely hotel with family-like atmosphere where I was made to feel very welcome. Tours were suggested and arranged, which was especially good for a woman travelling on her own. All staff worked to make stay most enjoyable

All expectations were met or exceeded. Dominique was extremely helpful, offering tour suggestions, checking on Ballet tickets, exchanging currency, as soon as we arrived. ... The charm of the Hotel, in terms of room, lobby even hallway appointments, was understated in the descriptions. Turned out to be much nicer than we anticipated, since many places exaggerate in promotonal material. Staff could not have been more professional, pleasant. We looked forward to our morning greetings. ... Once again staff were very helpful- paperwork was timely, accurate and understandable. Front desk arranged cab for trip from hotel to Gare Du Nord, though the cab was considerably more expensive than metered cab we took to the hotel. ... Proximity to Eglise St Germain des Pres, Cafe Deux Magots. Potential customers would not expect such a convenient, yet secure and private, location from the website. Mention security at front desk and rooms, because this is a growing concern of many travelers. ... Perfect combination of Parisian class, authenticity, liveliness, convenience. The staff and their attention to details of our comfort made us feel like very special people.

I was actually surprised at how nice the hotel was. It was beautifully decorated, lobby, eating area and rooms. The room was a bit small but gorgeous and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to the métro and the Seine. ... Excellent location on the left bank. Very clean with plush decor. Great service.

Thje staff arranged a car to pick us up at the airport. We had two large ski bags plus luggage. The driver met us at Customs and made our arrival very easy. This was a great service! ... The bathroom was recently remodeled and very nice. Rooms were small but the hotel stored our large ski bags downstairs. There was not room in our room for these bags. ... The hotel staff arranged transportation to and from airport prior to our arrival - very helpful. They also made dinner reservations for us on our first night prior to our arrival. Very friendly and helpful staff. ... Wonderful neighborhood, great location. Easy walk to Latin Quarter, museums, Eiffel Tower. Nice neighborhood restaurants. Small rooms, but we only used the room to shower and sleep. Too much to do in Paris!

The room was smaller than it looked on the web site however, it was comofrtable and well apointed ... That breakfast is available at the hotel for 10 euros which is a good price ... comfortable, pleasantly decorated, central, and walking distance to many places of interest, good shopping nearby and hundreds of restaurant choices. We would stay again.

my room was less attractive than some of the more recently rennovated ones, and slightly smaller, I think. It really was small, but then again it was quieter than I dared hope and the bathroom was surprisingly large and spacious...that's Europe ... the charge for a glass of orange juice and a bottle of mineral water was exorbitant - four euros for each, if I remember correctly. That's a ripoff. ... charming, friendly, small - nice breakfast room, wounderful staff.

We had requested a court yard room but never received so it was noisy if we kept the window open. We lived with it no problem. And we had requested a shower but were probably thinking in North American terms rather than Europeon when we saw what we got but again no great problem on our part. It was all part of the experience.
... Would recomend it stating that the rooms were small and the bathroom Europeon but the location was excellent, the staff helpful, polite and overall great. How much time do you spend in the room anyways - just count it part of the experience. The only real think we were disapponted in was getting the roadside room vs. a court yard room.

The hotel was quiet, very clean, sevice was good, but the room was too small. If I go to Paris again I would defenetly stay in Hotel St. Germain des Pres. Location, cleanness and price are the most important things for us. thank you. ... Actually the hotel was fine for the touristic stays as its location was very easy, but it's not cheap. ... The top floor was too small. ... Small but clean and has avarage price. The building was too old (I like old buildings). The best part was the location.

My room om the 4th floor was overwhelmingly hot - even with the heater off and the window open, which made it very noisy. After 3 days of complaint they finally moved me to another room, mimimaly less hot but quieter. Also they forgot to do my early morning wake up call my last day so I almost missed my flight. ... Good, but way overheated in the winter.

We did have a 'deluxe' room the first night, however, we were very disappointed. It was small and my husband hit his head on the ceiling. It was not worthy of the price we were charged. We made up our mind to leave. The next morning, I asked if we could change rooms. At first they were very curt and said no. Then, as I walked off, the receptionist offered to upgrade me to a suite. It was lovely and we were very happy with the room. If I returned, I would opt for one of the smaller and cheaper rooms on the first floor. ... The breakfast room was charming. We loved the location. ... Yes be honest about the size of the rooms. Some are very small. Also, some bathrooms have been updated, others not. Some of the decor is very shabby, other rooms, very nice. ... We loved our stay and would recommend the hotel, just stay on the first floor where the bathrooms are newer and don't pay for a pricey room. We have been to Paris many times and never had such a great location. This was within walking distance of a lot lovely restaurants, charming shopping.

While I got the agreed upon price, the room was the smallest in the hotel--basically it was in the attic. The bathroom was so tiny my husband couldn't stand up straight as the ceiling was slanted. We also could not stand up in the shower we were forced to sit. ... Ring bell after 9 or 10 PM as someone is not always sitting at the reception desk.

We were able to get into our room when we arrived at 11am, which was really good for our exhausted group. ... When we arrived the room was quite warm. There didn't appear to be any working air conditioning or heat. We opened windows and slept with the windows open the whole time as there didn't appear to be anyway to regulate the temperature in the room. This wasn't a problem at the time we were there but would be if it had been any warmer or colder. ... Checkout was simple and easy. ... We really appreciated the recommendations for restaurants and the help provided. They called and got us reservations. ... I would highly recommend it as long as the temperature issue was resolved.
