We stayed here before as a family and were very pleased. The girls, now teenagers, wanted to stay here again. They loved the cat.
...
Perhaps that the beds are double. It would be a vast improvement if the beds were a bit bigger. Also, in the family room, it would be nice to have a picture on the wall.
...
Absolutely love the place. Great location!

The staff was extemely polite and helpful. They made every effort to accommodate our requests. The accommodations were more than we anticipated. We certainly would return to this hotel.

We were very lucky to get an airconditioned room given how hot it was in Paris at the time.

Great location, friendly, comfortable... I would definitely recommend it.

I arrived early, before normal check-in, so had to wait for my room. I only had to wait 30 minutes, and went to a coffee shop around the corner.
...
The room was very very clean, very nice, clean, modern bathroom. The room was a little smaller than expected, but very nice. There was plenty of room for my clothes, a hairdryer, and a safe and a minibar. I had not expected the safe, minibar or hairdryer, that was nice and should be added to the website. I truly enjoyed my stay!!
...
I had not expected the safe, minibar or hairdryer, that was nice and should be added to the website. Also, internet cafe and coffee shop around the corner(internet cafe across the street is closed), 2 japanese restaurants, 1 very fine French restaurant, a grocery, and a pub on the same block as the hotel. And, only 4 to 5 blocks walk to Blvd. St. Germain and the Odeon metro stop.
...
Very quaint, clean, modern and beautiful little French hotel. Friendly staff. Very close to St. Germain du Pres, restaruants, and shops. Nice continental breakfast.
Would stay there again!!

Al over it was a very nice hotel, with very nice and clean rooms and very friendly service. Only the prices seemed to be a little bit to high for the size of the rooms.

I had requested a superior room in the back, on the courtyard; I was assigned a superior room in the front. We had to keep the windows closed at night to reduce the street noise. However the room was spacious and the washroom new and clean.

The house cat even visited upon invitation to our room; it was very cozy.

I would definitely stay there again.
...
Very warm feeling about this little hotel.
We would stay there again and again.
...
Perfectly located, well looked after, friendly, quiet, clean.

P.S. Hard mattress and flat pillows

Once I found the place it was a wonderful hotel, staff and location. Perhaps you should say it's on a one-way street.
...
Again, it was a fantastic hotel and I would recommend to my friends. (Except for the breakfast which was minimal and the dining room was not too interesting)
...
I was upgraded from a 116 Euro room to a 180 Euro junior suite, so YES, the value was well worth the cost!
...
I don't know if you already say this, but saying it's a 5 minute walk to many shops, restaurants and movies is a good thing!
...
Charming, sweet, cozy, clean, fantastic location, safe neighborhood, nice cat, friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend it! My visit to Paris would not have been as great as it was had I not stayed at your hotel. Thank you!

In fairness to the receptionist I think she got a bit of a fright when she realised we were soccer supporters.
not only had i booked 4 rooms but a friend had also booked 4 rooms so when she saw 8 people wearing football jersey's come in well!she kept reminding us it was a quiet hotel.we thought it was funny
when she realised we were ok she was more friendly.
...
its not wheelchair friendly - very small lift and narrow corridors
...
the hotel is in a nice quiet and very safe area and close to some very good cheap restaurnts. Also close to metro stations and buses.

The Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche is by far my
favorite place to stay in Paris. You could not
possibly be in a better location, in a more
cozy hotel surrounded by an extremley kind and
professional staff. And of course one cannot
forget to the biggest bonus of all Sputnik!
Hotel Saint Paul is my home in Paris!

I had requested the room in the photo on the internet and got it.
...
I had imagined the room to be a little larger. But it was a lovely room so I musn't grumble!
...
They kept hold of our luggage as we arrived early. This enabled us to enjoy the day without having to cart all our bags around. The same was done on checkout as we had to vacate our room by midday, but our train wasn't until late afternoon.
Also, we I hadn't realised exactly how close the hotel was to major sights. We were able to walk easily to the Sorbonne, Notre Dame and The Louvre.

The staff interpreted for me with the cab driver and helped me figure out how much my American money was worth in euros to give to the cabbie.
...
I loved this hotel. The rooms were very clean and cheerful. The hotel itself was very welcoming and quiet. The staff were outstanding. I will definitely go back and I would recommend it highly. The cat was a definite plus.
...
Easy and pleasant.
...
There are many good restaurants nearby, especially the Boullion Racine. The Mono Prix, which has some groceries and everything else is close by. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the hotel in general. The breakfast is not worth bothering with.

Hotel Saint Paul is a wonderful small hotel with friendly staff and an adorable watch cat named Sputnik. The rooms were well-appointed and the lobbey area was nicely decorated. It is in a wonderful location near the Boulevards and Luxemburg Garden.

Everyone at the hotel was very welcoming and accomodating. It was lovely!
...
The hotel was everything we hoped for and then some. It was very quaint, clean, and the room was exactly what we wanted.
...
The only problem we had a check out had to do with obtaining a taxi. We asked the evening before about taxi service and were told to request one about a half hour before one was needed and there would be no problem. We actually requested one an hour before needed but were told it was a horrible time of day to obtain a taxi. The hotel receptionist finally had to hand up as she was kept on hold way too long. My husband and son had to walk to the taxi area and tried flagging down flags for an hour. Luckily we started out early enough so we did not miss our train, however, it was pretty close.
...
I think the web site is quite good. There really is no way to more explicitly explain the charm.
...
I have already told people that it was in a fabulous location, darling with people that were extremely friendly and accomodating. The only negative was that we were on the top floor and it was unbelievably hot, even with the windows open. In future hotels on our stay we either had the portable air blowers in our room or an added air conditioning. This would be the only thing I would like to see changed. Even if not an air conditioning, a fan would even help.

Everything was in order, and the staff member was extremely nice.
...
Everyone we dealt with was able to assist with all of our needs, including guiding us to services in the local area and hiring a taxi for our trip back to the airport. And, since our French is less than adequate, it was wonderful that the staff members spoke such good English.
...
The location was perfect from our point of view. It has easy access to so much of Paris, either by walking or taking public transportation. In addition, there is a laundromat across the street, a small grocery next store, Internet access just up the street, and so many diverse places to eat in the area.
...
I would recommend it to my friends with the information I've supplied in the other questions. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel, which I have stayed at numerous times is wonderful, mainly because of the lovely staff & great location. We had a problem with the WiFi which was fine when we stayed there in May. They have changed providers and my husband had problems which affected his ability to enjoy his stay. Please go back to the old provider because when vacationing & doing business the WiFi is important.

Friendly helpful staff, and lovely pet cat called Sputnik who spends most of his days stretched out on the reception counter! Quiet location, but still easy walk to many attractions. Bedroom had original roof beams and tastefully decorated too. Ensuite facilities were spotless. Lovely cellar breakfast room with remains of old well. This was a birthday week-end trip for my wife and the hotel helped make our visit a very relaxed and pleasant one. I'd come back here again.

Excellent - comfortable, friendly, a good size for Paris, breakfast room a bit small (but some people like it because of that), very handy for the sites of Paris, close to the Metro for direct lines to Gare du Nord, and many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We had asked for a superior and not a std. room - we could see on the floor plan that our room was one of the smallest - we mentioned this, but was assured that it was a superio - which we doubt very much. it was only 9 m2 .

Geographically ok - clean, nice - but way too small a room -

We where also worried not to find any fire escape from 4th floor !!!!!!!!!!!

We do not wish to complain about Hotel St.
Paul, as overall we were very happy with our
stay. We were initially discouraged since
we were put into a room on the street-side
without A/C -- 2 requests we made and were
promised via e-mails. After complaining
they put us into an upgraded room which we
loved. And our stay was nice and
comfortable.

I had stayed at the hotel before and was familiar with the accommodations. The rooms are small, the front rooms are noisy, but the staff and the neighborhood more than make up for that.
Furthermore, the staff at the front desk were exceptional, putting up with my poor french and providing lots of suggestions and directions. I can't praise the staff enough.
...
In my opinion, it is one of the best locations in Paris; and again, the front desk staff are wonderful.

I have recommended the hotel to several of my friends who have stayed there and enjoyed it.

We loved our stay at the St. Paul in Paris. We liked that it was not a huge hotel. We had fun talking to the staff. The breakfast was very nice. The fact that there was a hotel cat there 'sealed the deal' as we love cats and would have missed ours if there was not a cat there to love during our stay. We really liked the location in St. Germaine... there is not a thing we would change.
...
We loved the restaurants nearby. The Boullion Racine, a Belgian restaurant around the corner and down that steet, was a real find. It was easy walking to the Blvd. St. Germaine and easy access to the Metro. And the Irish bar a few doors down was a whole heck of a lot of fun.
