All the rooms are decorated in red with heavy velvet curtains and antique furniture all of which creates a very romantic amtosphere.

The option of being able to select a Royal room. A Royal room has a fireplace in the room as well as all the other Deluxe facilities.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay in a beautiful city. The Villa Royale was a major factor for this. Fun, compact, boudoir/hotel.
We stayed in the Catherine Deneuve room which had luxuries such as a jacuzzi, plasma tv and a fireplace.
The facilities could do with modernising and the rooms are on the small side (even for Paris).
We were slightly cautious due to the location of the hotel in the Moulin Rouge area but the atmosphere was very good and we were not bothered by anyone.
Overall, an excellent hotel!

That it is in the middle of the redlight district and that you may be propositioned by prostitutes. This didn't bother us as we loved the hotel and the fact that it is just steps to the metro and great resaurants. We thought the area was more tasteful than Soho or Bourbon Street in New Orleans, but other might be more sensitive.

A wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel's decor makes you feel that you are somewhere exotic and romantic. It is what you would imagine a hotel in Paris should look like. There are great restaurants within walking distance and the metro is right outside the hotel.

It was very easy to check in, but they did not tell us they had a restaurant in the basement, so for our first three mornings, we missed the breakfast included in our stay. We thought there was only room service, because we couldn't understand the card in our room.

The rooms were adorable and comfortable and the location was fantastic, and the view from our window was great, but the room was much smaller than we expected,and there was no dresser, so we could not unpack our things without covering the small floor with our clothes, and we had to keep stuffing everything back into our suitcases a few times a day. It was hard to get around the bed, and hard to open the wardrobe due to the smallness. Other than that-we loved the room and were very comfortable. The decor was great.

The hotel had agreed to a special price in advance, and they granted it. It was an excellent value. They were very helpful in storing our bags for a few hours after check out while we went out before our flight.

Be sure to emphasize the cute dining room in the basement and the breakfast hours in case they forget to mention it at check in. You may want to mention that the smallest rooms (not the suites) are VERY small in case people want to book a suite. We're from New York, so we're used to tiny rooms, and even we were surprised.

An extremely charming, unique, comfortable hotel in an excellent location. The rooms (not suites) are tiny, but the decor is great and the bathrooms are luxurious. It is only a few steps from the metro. Anything you need is nearby, the neighborhood is awesome. I would move in for several weeks or months if I could.

the television satellite programms didn't work. we asked the staff to repair it twice but it wasn't repaired during our whole stay

it was a wonderful and differnt kind of hotel. we enjoyed it very much and will soon come back again. if somebody is looking for a quiet place in paris, villa royale is not the right thing. the windows are good, but as soon as you open them, it is very noisy

We loved the area and the style of the hotel are so much fun, but but...the door to the bathroom/toilet could not close and did not get repair despite our several requests.
We loved the fireplace, but no one knew how to turn it on ;( and unfortunately the roomservice did not manage to get the dinner in 1,5 hour (we called and asked for the dinner 4 times, but gave up in the end)so we where forced to go to Moulin Rouge on an empty stomage.
All in all: it is a fun decostyle, but to pay 480 usd for the mentioned above service is way too much.
Pls. consider the service of this hotel. (we actually did recommend the hotel to friends and family)

Room service took about an hour to get half cold food and a non-cooled bottle of wine. Considering the price we paid for this 'service', this was outrageous!
Breakfast is a bit modest as well.

We were slightly misled about our view of the Sacre Coeur as we were led to believe we would be able to see it from our hotel - we could barely see the roof.

Very beautiful, great decor, very quiet and peaceful since we were in the middle of Paris, a great location, both for area and as a base for exploring the rest of the City.

The problem I experienced was getting around. Whilst staying there was a transport strike on. Difficulty hailing a taxi - asked the hotel to assist - no joy. Two days before leaving asked to hotel to book a car to take me to the station - not very helpful but after continued pressure the hotel managed to secure one at a price!

The hotel was very Parosian, beautiful, stepping back in time. The rich decor the gilted furniture blends perfectly with modern living.

Lovely room (although small), however the room was very hot and the heating/air conditioning did not work. We complained about this and they replied that the hotel did not have air conditioning, however both our booking form and their own hotel details specified air conditioning/ individual acclimatisation. Apparently in winter the heating is on and in summer the air conditioning is on and we just had to put up with it with no attempts to mend the system. So we slept with all the windows open and the noise of traffic throughout the night!

Torn carpets, stained and torn upholstery, and extremely noisy rooms. We will not return and will recommend our friends steer clear of this property.

Shabby, loud, overpriced and a dangerous neighborhood. Police sirens at all hours, fights on the street under our windows.

Only pronlem was the TV reception was poor (and this was one of the room 'features') luckily we didn't really have any interest in the TV.
