You will find Hotel Royal Opera Haussmann on 10 Rue du Helder, in downtown Paris. The Opera Garnier stands a few blocks away, while the Louvre Museum is just a kilometre far. You will be staying at the Opera district. |
By plane: The main airports in the outskirts of Paris are quite close to the property: Orly is 20 kilometres away, and Charles de Gaulle, 27 kilometres. From both terminals it is really simple to reach the hotel on public transport, as the RER train service comes to the heart of the city in a few minutes.
By car: As you leave Orly airport, take highway A106 towards "Créteil/ Versailles/ Paris" and as you pass close to Rungis, get on A6. As you approach Chevilly-Larue, continue along A6B/E15/E50, then E15 and A6A/E05. Turn right in Avenue de la Porte d`Orleans, left in Avenue de l`Observatoire, again in Place du Chatelet and left in Boulevard Saint Denis. Veer left in Boulevard Montmartre and once again in Rue du Helder. The hotel stands on number 10 (30 minutes drive)
Otherwise, if your plane lands at Charles de Gaulle airport, get on motorway A1/E19 towards "SAINT-DENIS/ CERGY/ PONTOISE/ PARIS-CENTRE/ PARIS-PORTE DE LA CHAPELLE" and drive along it for around 22 kilometres, before the exit signalled as "Paris centre porte de la Chapelle". Turn left in Avenue de la Porte de la Chapelle, right in Rue Phillipe de Girard, again in Rue du Faubourg Saint Martin and right in Boulevard Saint Denis. Then follow the indications. (35 minutes)
By train: Whether you arrive at Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports, you can take the railway service RER A (connecting the terminals at both ends) and get off at Auber station. Change to the metro (line 7) and descend from the subway at Opera station, placed only 2 minutes walking from the hotel. From there, just walk along Boulevard des Capucines and turn left in Rue du Helder.
Otherwise, at Orly you can take the Roissy bus and around 45 to 60 minutes later, get off at Opera station. |
