It was fantastic. We got a lot of help from the receptionist especially with booking our bus tour. She was friendly and made us feel welcome.

Our room was larger than I expected. I had some trouble with the bath tub-keeping the drain closed, and also with keeping the window shut. The window was not easy to close. I was also unaware that there was a heater in the room, but once I figured it out it was easy to use. My friend however said there was a bug in her room -probably a cockroach which startled her. My feeling was -one bug-so what! It probably came in through the window.
Whoever was cleaning the rooms did a nice job.
The only thing was that the breakfast was not so great. It was expensive for what it was and the coffee wasn't very good. For nine euros it should have included fresh fruit, like banannas or apples. We ended up going out to local cafes which were fine.

The shopping in the neighborhood was very good. It would have been nice to have had a little map with some of the 'cool' stores and cafes indicated. We had enough time to find some of them ourselves, but if we had only been there for a few days we probably would not have had time to explore the neighborhood and would not have found them. If there is a neighborhood business association - it would be to their benefit to make sure all the hotels in the area had such a map which perhaps offered discounts at the stores to the those staying in the hotels.

A great place to stay if you want to save a little money (to spend in some of the cool stores nearby) and be close to the art museums and the metro. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

I was surprised at just how helpful everyone was. We advised we would arrive late in the evening and were greeted by name. Staff were relaxed, helpful and always obliging. Even when we wished to change rooms they were very accomodating.

We were really pleased with what we got for our money. The rooms facing the street are the best rooms and we would recommend that you specify one of these when booking. The back rooms are a bit dark and tired looking. Great staff. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but there are great cafes just on the corner. St Peres is not a busy street compared with others so not overly noisey. Would we go back? Absolutely.

The only suggestion I would make is that they advertise or promote a local shuttle bus to the airport service. Train out to CDG is exhausting. Better to get dropped off right at the terminal and pay the extra.

It seemed that the first person we saw at the desk wasn't as knowledgable or welcoming as the people who usually were at the front desk. It was adequate though.

The property was in a listed building and therefore only a limited number of renovations had been done and could have been done,and despite the fact beds were comfortable and bathroom adequate it seemed quite a lot of money to pay for a twin bedroom.
The room was overlooking a busy road but the noise of the traffic was not the main 'noisy' factor: the tap of the rain on either the window or the recess in front of it wasvery noisy...

the two cafes few yards up from the hotel next to the traffic lights and facing the medicine school were great in atmospher and served very good cafes and croisssants in the morning.
Very good areas in terms of little shops and various boutiques each with their own different interests: art, antiques, fashion...it is refreshing to be far from the main stores and give a chance to small retailers as they have many original things to offer
Very safe area to walk at night even on your own, and very early in the morning, so if you want to live a good nightlife and walk a short distance back to your bedroom, it is ideal

If budget is tight don't stay in this area, for the same price you can find better quality hotels in less sought after areas, however if you want to be near everything and walk everywhere it is a great location!

The room booked was the worst I have experienced on my visits to Paris (or anywhere else). However, after the first night I upgraded at my expense to the next price room and this proved to be far better and on a par with what I would expect from a 2 star hotel. I have no complaints about the 'staff' (just one person on duty at a time) who were always very good.

I was part of a group. We had 2 double rooms and several single rooms. One of the doubles was exactly as depicted in the website. The decor in the other had not been updated in quite some time and was a bit depressing. The newer room was nice.
The staff was VERY accomodating and we appreciated their help. I give them very high marks.

We have arrived at 2 pm, after a long night's travel, and the room was still not ready and clean. We had to wait about 20 minutes. though the couch was comfortable...:)

We had higher expectations after seeing photos on the website. We thought this hotel has some warm charm - well, that was a bit disappointment, old furniture, the bathroom would also need some renovation, and the room was very noisy.

The hotel has good location, which makes up a bit for the noise you experience even during the night. The rooms are not very welcoming, but clean, the same goes for the bathroom. The staff is friendly.

Double room was worse than expected, in need for renovation (bathroom and room floor).Though spacious enough. Triple room was very neat and spacious and nice, probably recently renovated. So, a huge difference between the condition of two rooms, although same rate?? Both rooms were quite noisy. But, the location was really very good. All together the hotel was worth its price.

The hotel is dark and quite run-down, although in an excellent location. Most of the rooms are relatively spacious, but have no view and open up into an internal courtyard that is very dark. The furnishings are run-down 70's and 80's furniture. The elevator is the smallest elevator I have ever seen that barely fits one very small suitcase and one person.

Excellent location, on a fairly quiet street convenient to Boulevard St. Germain, Musee d'Orsay, and le Louvre. Within a 15-20 minute walk of Notre-Dame and Centre Georges Pompidou.

Excellent location, small room, very little sitting space downstairs, but if like us you really want to be out and about, this hotel gives you good value. Compared to other places in the vicinity, the rate was fair and the staff were helpful.

This is an excellent hotel, perfectly situated for the visitor to Paris, with transport links closeby and very friendly and helpful staff, always available for advice. For the price, extremely good value, and we would use this hotel again.

Small things didn't work properly. For example, the bathroom door did not close completely; with it closed as much as possible,the shower door could not be opened or closed.

Enjoyed stay in general and staff very helpful. But hotel is expensive considering its state of furbishment and in comparison to others in the area, even some that are 3 star rated. Also, breakfast is very limited and as such quite expensive in comparison to breakfast in other hotels in the area and more or less the same price.
