The hotel was basic but probably right for what we paid. The room first allocated was next top tghe entrance and sleep was impossible. We were moved for the next two nights and things improved.
The staff were very polite and helpful and the rooms were clean.

Great place to stay for visiting Paris. Hotel is everything you want in an hotel. Intrested staff, clean adiquate rooms and the breakfastwas very good value as was our whole stay.

We were very pleased with the hotel. It was clean and comfortable in a reasonably good location with good access to public transport. Staff were friendly, rooms were small but clean, comfortable and well equiped. The hotel was good value for money.

The room was small but fine for our needs. We stayed 8 days and I would have preferred a bureau w/drawers rather than the desk that was provided. We had to keep much of our clothing in the suitcases which was a little inconvenient. The room was clean, fresh towels every day, decent shower (hot water never a problem. Mattress a bit soft, we tended to roll to the middle. Our room, #16 was in the shadow of the next building so the indoor lighting could be improved.

The hotel is located very close to several metro lines making it an ideal location for getting anywhere in Paris. Also many great dining options within walking distance.

An unexpected, unforgotable lift welcoming us. We take 3 days to used to the tiny size of the lift when we check out.

We had to walk up to the fifth floor with our luggage as the lift is very small.

We found the hotel very pleasant. It was quiet even though near the Place de Republique. The room and the beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent. There was no chest of drawers to put clothes in but for a short stay this didn't matter. It was pleasant to have a balcony (we were on the fifth floor). We have recommended the hotel to friends in England.

We gained a good impression of the hotel from the website - that is why we chose it. It was pleasant to find the hotel as good as described. However, there was no mention of breakfast and before booking I had to send an email to find out the details. It would be good to include the cost of the continental breakfast.

The staff were extremely helpful with walking/metro directions, etc. They spent all the time we required of them to give us information. The location was great and so was the price/value.

A very location friendly Hotel to access all of the tourist attractions in Paris. Only one block from the metro/subway. Very close to the busy and bustling (which is good)Republique Square. We would definitely use the Republique Hotel upon our return to Paris.

Location was excellent for access to all main Paris sites, particularly with a two minute walk to the metro with a choice of four lines.
The nearby canal made a pleasant evening walk with bars and cafes along the banks.
The hotel's recommendation for the Le Bourgonne restaurant was excellent

This is a non touristy quarter which gives a glimpse into local life.
The hotel was just what is needed in a big city, accessible, intimate, clean and importantly quiet. There are lots of local bars, cafes and restaurants.

Charming little budget hotel with a polite and helpful staff.
Room was nice and clean, only plumbing was a bit noisy (Room 33), breakfast a pleasant surprise. Pl da Republique is good location to start exploring Paris. You'll easily reach any location by Metro.

It is definitely a 2 star hotel - excellent staff - very friendly and very accommodating.
The elevator is extremely small.
Rooms are adequate just to sleep - very small.
Views off the balcony are gorgeous.
Area is a bit sketchy.

If you want just a place to sleep for the night - this is it. Cheap but you get what you pay for. Staff very friendly.

The lift in the hotel is tiny. We had to drag our bags up 5 flights of stairs to our room cos we couldn't fit into it with our luggage.

I was happy enough with our stay. The room was clean, bathroom was clean. Found the safe which is in your room to be very handy.
Negatives......hmmm, breakfast area was small and cramped we thought. Breakfast itself isn't special but is the usual of any hotel in Paris it seems. Don't expect a greasy fry-up :)!!!

We stayed at the hotel on two separate ocasions. Both rooms were very small, but we came to expect that on our trip since we were not booked at the top dollar hotels. The second room was a little more satisfactory and a tad larger. It was nice to have a lift even though it would hold only part of our luggage at one time.

I hesitated to answer #9 because I did not want to appear to be critical. The developer of the web site did make it seem a little nicer than it truly was, but I could not fault them for that. The host noticed a travel book I had and offered us the breakfast buffet at no cost because they were mentioned in it. That was a nice surprise.

As usual, the rooms are dark and lack a study light (most welcome if you need to prepare a meeting or talk the next day), but in this hotel they are comparatively spatious and reasonably quite. The staff in this hotel usually appears not very committed, but when I stay there I don't need particular services, so I don't bother.

Excellent value for money (Parisian standards, that is). Not the place to go for a romantic week-end with your fiancée, but more than all right if you have to go to Paris for (small) business (apart from the light) and don't want to spend a fortune for your stay. Probably houses the smallest elevator of the world.

The person behind the desk seemed momentarily confused by our reservation but just for a couple of seconds. His manner was quite casual which I didn't mind but it may be a bit too informal for some. Don't know if there was a lift - we weren't shown one, but we were only one floor up. No help with luggage offered. But this is just a cheap hotel.

The room was of a good size compared to other Paris rooms. Decor was fine, if a bit dull. everything was clean, no problem with bed, shower worked well with good water power and temperature. Room has safe and TV, and hotel has wifi. Like most hotels, walls are thin and you can hear noise from other rooms, especially toilets flushing, water running. Didn't try the breakfast but breakfast room looked cheery and colourful with an arabic flavour to the decor and music.

The night staff member was very rude and preferred to watch TV and complete a crossword. Lift was inadequate.
Rooms were great - they were clean and tidy. However I had asked for a triple room with separate beds and received one with a double and single bed.

Great directions until one exits from the metro station, then it becomes more confusing. may want to include some landmarks or more streetnames in the directions.

We understood that wi-fi was available through the hotel but we had to sit half way down the stairs to get a connection. The smell of cigarette smoke was also very strong often.

When we got there, the receptionist seemed very rude and did not want to help us. We had to sit and wait for him for at least 20 minutes before he got off the phone (with what seemed like a personal phone call) to assist us.

The elevator was broken during our stay at the hotel and it was EXTREMELY inconvenient to have to haul our luggage up and down five flights of stairs. Unlike all of our previous hotels throughout our trip, no one even offered to help us.

The location is fantastic. The undergond is very near and one can walk down to most places in paris. overall it was a fantastic place to stay and a great value for money. The hotel should have included brakfast in the amount they charge.

The hotel also offers some really small rooms, which seem to be the ones reserved for single guests. As in most cases, these rooms are never indicated in any brochures (with a picture). Only the most spacious rooms are. Maybe you should consider including this in your information, since you do have single guest as well.
