We arrived late at night and needed to eat however the male receptionist was unsure of where there would be anywhere available.

We found the hotel to be tranquil extremely clean and staff polite. It is in an excellent location especially for any one's first visit to the city.
I contact the hotel by email for exact directions from RER and they resaponded immediately with fool proof directions.

Ideal for a romantic or honeymoon stay. Ideal for a first visit to Paris as so near to main toursit attractions and the river.

The hotel clerk greeted us like long lost friends and made us feel right at home immediately.

This charming hotel was a little jewel that enhanced our visit to Paris. The staff was welcoming and most helpful with all of our requests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted a small, intimate, convenient place to stay while in Paris.

The one main thing that the room did not have that I would want is coffee making facilities.

The hotel is clean amd tidy. It was in a central location close to the Metro with easy access to the main parts of Paris. The area the hotel is in seem safe and is a nice area to take a stroll.

A small but nice and quiet hotel with familiar atmosphere close by the Louvre (sighting distance) and very centraly located in the heart of the city. Two Metro-Stations are nearby, just a one minute walk from the hotel.

Our room was not ready but within 40 mins , after a coffee on the river side it was ready

I was very kindly told that I was the last to arrive (!) - it was about 18:00 hrs - and that the room I had reserved had been given to somebody else by mistake. We agreed that I would be moved to a better room the day after. However, the 'better' room was exactly the same room, just on the fourth floor instead of on the second floor.
The room I had received was a double bed for single occupancy with a view on the Church, rate E 130.
The room I received was a single with view on walls all sides and the rate was E 98.-
I did warn them that I would complain on this.

Checking out was rapid and efficient.
In view of the error related to the room, I would have expected to receive at least one free drink.
Breakfast: I was asked if I would want breakfast on the first night - however, they omitted to ask on the second night. Breakfast is only served if ordered in advance at the reception desk.

The staff at the Relais du Louvre are incredible. They are helpful, informative and offer many ideas and suggestions about out of the way attractions in Paris. I have thoroughly enjoyed them on the two occasions I have stayed at the hotel.

I would describe the Relais du Louvre as a wonderful small hotel in a great location; close to many of Paris's most noted attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

I would tell them that is a 'home away from home' The staff made us feel like family and were so gracious. The 'lobby' was like walking into a home and not a hotel and the location is quite,yet right in the heart of Paris,amazing! I am not sure I give my secret away to just anyone!!

Directions were by road / taxi, etc.
This is a centrally located Paris hotel, adn with most people arriving through Charles de Gaulle airport, it would have been more helpful to include Metro directions (line number, direction, stop) as we had to figure this out ourselves.

There was no breakfast room / courtyard area; which also meant that we could not take breakfast, except in our room.

Unfortunately, the work being carried out blocked the view of the church; this had been 'overlooked' at the time of booking.
BUT it was only one of the reasons for choosing that room / hotel.

The single room I stayed in was very small and did not receive very much outside light since it faced a small inside courtyard. It was exceptionally clean, had a lovely decor, good sheets and towels, and a phone and tv.I was surprised that for the price it also had room service and a stocked minibar.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys staying in a quaint and quiet place. The services and staff were very good. The location was perfect for me. It was right across the street from the Louvre and Seine. There were lot's of cafes to get a quick bite to eat, and all the major central Paris sites and outside day trip tour agencies were within a 20 minute walk.

Absolutely. It was one of the most pleasant places I have ever stayed. My wife and I plan to visit Paris again in 2006 and we will certainly stay at the Hotel Relais du Louvre on our next visit.

A small, clean and tourist- friendly hotel with alot of personal service. The location was excellent-a quiet street, but within walking distance of major tourist attractions, good restaurants and an exceptional bakery (only a few doors from hotel) for eat-in or take-out coffees, pastries, lunch or dinner fare.

Sophie,the receptionist/manager on duty, was very helpful and provided great customer service. The room was beautifully furnished and clean. The beds were comfortable and the luggage storage space was more than adequate. I had my young daughter with me and we felt perfectly safe coming and going at this location.

Sophie let us leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout until it was time to leave for the train. This allowed us to do some last minute sightseeing without lugging our bags around.
She was also fluent in English and other languages which made our stay much easier.

Quiet, cozy hotel, friendly staff, close to Louvre and within close walking distance of Open Tour Bus stop, restaurants, and river. Only room service available (no dining facilities), but service very reasonably priced. Elevator is quite small if you have a lot of luggage.

The family suite on the 5th floor was not vacated by a previous guest, we were told because of illness. Other accommodations were provided, which were satisfactory. However, when the move was made the next day to the 5th floor, the accommodations were unsatisfactory because of lack of water pressure in shower and inadequate functioning of the air conditioning. After 2 nights, complaints produced another move with satisfactory accommodations, an apology accompanied by a bottle of champagne.

Very good central location for nearby metro stations and across the street from the Louvre, but not a bustling area for tourists or lively street scene. The small park near the hotel is unpleasant as it harbors homeless at times during the day--no tourists.

Good value for a very small, clean, air conditioned hotel on the Right Bank across from the Louvre and in convenient location for two metro stations. If interested in lively street scene and more interesting choice of restaurants, would choose another area on the Left Bank.

The room is really only meant for 3 people as the pull out sofa sleeps one person or 2 small children. The hotel can provide a cot but then there would not be any room to walk around. The room was quiet enough as we faced an inside courtyard but we did hear people one floor above so sound travels within the building. The bathroom is functional but small so a tall person will find it difficult. The Bathtub could use better cleaning as we found stains from mildew on the corners of the tub area. Also, we thought that they were very sparse with the soaps and no shower caps or face towels were provided. The towels that they did provide however were clean and seemed new and luxurious.

Although we informed the hotel that for the last night of our stay we will only be 2 people, they were not able to move us to a smaller room so we had to pay full price. However, they intended to charge for the additional 4th person even though we were 2 so when I brought that point up, the hotel conceded to not charge the 5 euro supplement for the 4th person on the last night.

This is s small but quaint hotel decorated in a country french style. There are not a lot of amenities for the business traveler but for people on vacation, the hotel is ideally located and the area is quiet and calm. The furnishings in the room could use a little updating especially the carpeting and rugs.

But the room was much smaller than we had expected. We must have breakfast facing the wall at the small table in the small room. We expected they had a dinnning room. 12 euros were too expensive for that breakfast.

In summer most hotels in Paris give discount.
We stayed there for six nights.
If you could give us any discount or an up-greaded room, we would have be happier.

although the room was properly cleaned up and it was recently renewed, it was very very small, with too thin walls and flabby mattress! It wasn't described at all as a small room neither in the web site nor in the mail describing the accomodation available. Moreover, the wardrobe - small too- was occupied by the old minibar although there was anoterone working in the room!!

fair value hotel because of the very small room. I would not suggest it as a good value one: it's just a little bit expensive compared with what it offers, but it is clean and has a PERFECT location (central, close to places to see & metro station).
I booked only 1 day before new years eve, so I had no time to choose.
