We have stayed there before and were pleased to go back BUT Room 43 which we had last time, is simply TOO small for two adults to share and we would not go back to that room again. 4 days was too difficult in such a basic room.
Hotel location is fabulous. View from balcony amazing. Claude's G&Ts served in the salon are simply the best to return to after a long Summer's day walking Paris. Love that room.Elegant. Great history.
Renovations taking place at the time of our stay did not interfere at all with us. ... Arranged a shuttel bus for airport transfer ... Room size...SMALL
Fourth floor rooms have small balconies with GREAT view of Paris
Location directly opposite ouvre Museum
Now have cooling fans in rooms ... Great location. Very small/basic rooms. Sensational view. Friendly staff. Lovely salon for drinks/reading. Worth the price for two star hotel in such location.
Have sent many friends there already.

Front desk staff very helpful and considerate; location could not have been better -- close to all major museums and Seine River. The view is the best. As a single female traveler, I felt very safe and in good hands. ... Best view and location for single traveler.

I love this hotel...and not just for the view. Its history and location add to the mix. The staff was very accommodating - especially in changing the airport van pick-up time after I changed my mind.
Also - the best croissants I had in my 2 week day stay in France.
I look forward to staying there on my next visit to Paris.

There was extensive construction in the hallways, but we never heard a sound. The rooms were done first and thus were very clean and the plumbing was fabulous! ... Our exchange rate with the dollar was troublesome but obviously no fault of Quai Voltaire. ... No, it was all very clear to us. ... Great experience! Our room was small but it was everything we needed. The view was wonderful and the location superb. We walked everywhere and in all directions but when we were too tired the D'Orsay RER stop was close by.

Our stay was very pleasant and the staff were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. ... The room was typically small but not unexpected. The location and view from the room was exceptional. ... No surprises. Thats good. ... Great boutique hotel in the heart of Paris over looking the Seine! What more is there to say.

Even though there was work being carried out in he hallway and entrance to the hotel, I must say that the staff, Samuel in particular was more than helpful. He went out of his way to help us with directions etc. ... Excellant position

Was very pleased to be accomodated on the fourth floor with balcony. The view is spectacular! ... while the room and lobby were as expected the conditions could be improved in the halls to the actual rooms. Holes in the ceilings and unpainted repairs diminish the good qualities of the accomodations. Light bulbs need replacement. However, the maintenance staff responded immediately when a problem occured in the bath. I would stay there again in the cooler weather because of location. Lack of air conditioning would be a problem in the summer or earlier fall when temperatures rise. ... I cannot think of any other than the supreme location with regard to the Metro and to the Louvre. Very very convenient location. Wonderful for a first time visitor to Paris! The lack of a TV in the room was not missed by us, but may be by some. ... I would very much recommend this hotel to a friend, providing they were not traveling in the summer months and they were expecting a quaint, old world experience - not a Marriott cookie cutter hotel.

I was insulted when the manager left a note stating that our room would not be cleaned as it was too messy. Rather than clean around items left on table tops, etc, we were informed we should more or less pack everything up to enable the room to be cleaned. This would have been a major inconvenience and contrary to what services you expect to receive at any hotel anywhere. ... Perfect location

The hotel was clean and location brilliant, but the renovations were surprising, and size of the rooms also a shock. The hotel internet access (non-wireless) was also not operational for the duration of our stay. ... The size of the rooms should be emphasised as guests with large baggage or special needs would find the rooms and elevator unaccomodating. ... Perfectly situated and loaded with nostalgia and Parisian charm. The rooms are simplistic - to say the least, but if you're travelling light and there for the sights, who needs a TV anyway? The renovations were a little intrusive, and the bar an untapped gem which should be capitalised upon by the Hotel.

The bedroom was spacious but very old and bare. Cleaning, specially of bathroom requires significant improvement. ... The staff is the hotel main asset! Congratulations! ... 1) 'Location could hardly be any better' 2) 'Staff remarkably nice and attentive' 3) Accomodations leave a lot to be desired

The room was clean, but very small. It was also very noisy - which didn't especially bother me, but would other guests. ... Very central, quaint, but fairly basic

The hotel was undergoing renovations during the time of our stay. Whilst this did not interfere with the majority of activities within the hotel it did create a degree of dust that intruded into our room(s) along with a general appearance of dishevelment in some parts of the hotel. ... A quirky hotel long overdue for re-vamping and modernising but in an excellent location with splendid views over the Seine to the Louvre
