We felt very welcomed by Mr. Saide. Very polite and we would stay again at the Hotel Meslay. ... Just some suggestions: It would be nice to have a coffee maker in our room or a device to heat up water for tea coffee etc. Also, it would be nice to have a bit more room The rooms were a bit small by American standards. Would be nice to include breakfast with cost of room, especially for a 3-star hotel. These facts;however, would not keep me from staying there a second time! ... Efficient service especially since we had to leave early and on time. ... Right across the street from the Republique metro stop. Also that there is a small grocery store Lider to buy bottled water. ... Safe clean quaint hotel in convenient location away from the tourists crowds. Excellent service all around! Highly recommended.

There is apparantly a language difference when discussing bed size between the U.S. and France. We have customized the language in U.S. to indicate bed size: King (2 twins together in width) Queen Double Twin We asked for and confirmed that we had a 'King' sized bed and it was key in our choice of Meslay Republique. Upon arrival, we discovered a Double bed in the room. Upon inquiring, we learned that France uses metrics to describe bed size and this was the size they thought was 'King'. ... Size of beds in U.S. terms as stated above. Excellent location w/in Paris - proximity to Republique metro line was fantastic.
... Excellent location w/in Paris - proximity to Republique metro line was fantastic. Nice, clean rooms, but small beds. VERY small closets. No amenities like lotions, etc. provided.
