The hair dryer was poor, and there was
]not a tea kettle in the room, however,
staff were very helpful in suppling it..

This hotel was extemely comfortable and accomodating. They allowed us into the rooms very early in the day and were helpful on our return the next weekend. We would highly recommend this location and establishment to anyone.

Even the breakast staff at Marais Bastille were pleasant amd accomodating. A very high recommendation from us!

We had a very pleasant stay, besides receptionists, also the cleaning staff was very good.

positive: it takes just a short walk to the Seine and a little longer to Louvre for instance.
please note that your car is safe in the parking gararge under the opera, but fairly expensive

The hotel staff were very friendly and helphful. The room was ideal and very quiet at night which we very much appreciated.

We loved our stay. The staff, including maid service and breakfast service were very friendly and helphful. The hotel was very nicely situated for our trip. We loved the street market each week outside the hotel and the great location near the metro. Also we could walk each evening to nice outdoor cafes for dinner. With the new opera house so close we even did an opera. Just a wonderful, small, intimate hotel and a great location to walk/Metro to see Paris. We feel so lucky and grateful that we stayed at the Marias Bastille. We'd come again when we get to Paris.

I have used your associate sites for Italy with good results so tried this site for Paris hotels. I found the Hotel Marais Bastille clean and up to date, but found the site phtos misleading, and was very unhappy to find the hotel had no A/C.

I was under the impression the hotel had AC. I was not told the hotel was a Best Western, and if I had been I would not have chosen it as I prefer hotels that are not large chains.

I thought I requested a no smoking room, but none was available.

Desk person asked if we would like him to call a taxi for us and we said yes. The taxi arrived with almost 6 euros on the meter, rather than the 2 20 at a normal start. I just feel that we should have been told about the additional charge. It was brought to his attention and he said that its common for the meter to be running when they receive the call, not when they arrive at the hotel.

The receptionist asked us to pay for our stay as soon as we arrived, which is not common practice in hotels. He was also not able to advise me of the latest check-out time as we needed to stay beyond 12

I asked whether I could check out later than the normal time of 12 and no one was getting back to me with regards to this. Although they conceeded to this in the end, it was after I had prompted them several times.

This hotel belongs to the Best Western chain; however, its level is below the standard one would expect from BW. Admittedly, the price I paid is adequate to the hotel level and services.

I arrived at 4pm and the hotel was closed. I had to wait roughly 15 minutes for someone to let me in!

The room was fairly small. The shower-room was also very small, there was no bath.
There was only one plug socket high up on the wall in a corner. We had to unplug the fridge to get access to a socket!

If I had known it was a Best Western Hotel I wouldn't have booked it. Overall, the hotel is very basic and in my opinion, over-priced.
It felt more like a hostel than a hotel.
