The staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating and always ready to help. They provided help with restaurants and were always prompt in getting taxis. ... As I noted on a form wich I filled out before leaving, I would recommend that the towels provided be a bit more plush and that a face cloth be provided for other clients who use them. I also think the hotel should put down some anti-slip device on the bottom of the bathtubs. There is nothing to hold on to while in the tub taking shower, thus it can be slippery. ... Once again, the staff were very efficient and everything ran very smoothly. ... I am not sure how well the site described the neighborhood, but I think it is an enormous plus. Quiet at night and lively during the day. Lots of good foods available from nearby shops and food stalls. Monoprix just around the corner. A delightful experience all around. ... This is a reliable hotel and staff. It makes Paris affordable and is a comfortable alternative to more expensive accommodations.

The hotel is not very easy to be found because there are too many lanes nearby. However, we successfully got there and the reception was very very helpful and actively provided us all the information about underground, supermarket and restaurant. ... I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in 2004 Aug and then they were running a promotion of 4 for 3. Hence the room rate is around 24 pounds per person per night with breakfast. It locates in arrondissement 17, very very quiet and close to the Metro Station Villers (5 mins walk). In addition, there is an open market, supermarket, Paul bakery and laundry nearby (3 mins walk) that you can easily access to drinks, fresh seafood and fruit. The interior is as you can see from its website, although it is not big nor new. Bathroom is very clean and not bad (mine with bath). If you expect breakfast like the continential one in the UK, you might be disappointed because they only offer juice, coffee, hot chocolate, 3 breads and jam. Staffs are very friendly and english speaking. You can borrow all sorts of adapter from reception. ... I found this website is really really fantastic because we got the best value in town. ... Detail information about breakfast. Although the price included breakfast, we had no idea about what we were going to have before arrival. ... A value for money and lovely hotel

We arrived after 12 noon but the room wasn't ready. I used to work in the Hotel Industry and can understand this, however, my husband had been travelling overnight from Nigeria and had arrived at the airport at 4.30am, then had to wait for my flight to arrive at 12.05pm so to wait for an additional hour was disappointing. ... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay although we did find that we would have had to queue for breakfast one morning, something we refused to do - the breakfast room was really quite small. Our windows looked out onto what could have been a rather pleasant garden, however, it was in need of some attention (despite being wintertime) and had lots of cigarette buts just below our window, in fact we did see a member of staff smoking out there. ... Small breakfast room......if everyone arrives at the same time, i.e. 9.30am, people will have to queue. ... Quite small, pleasant hotel in an excellent location which might not be evident on arrival. Although it doesn't have a bar or restaurant, there are plenty of excellent facilities nearby.

The map online is not very clear and does not contain small street names. The directions provided by the hotel were very good, especially which metro to get from the trains station and where to get off. ... The staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times, and we would stay at the hotel again and recommend it to friends and family. ... Helpful that the staff allowed us to leave our bags in a secure room until we could catch our train. ... Very good breakfast, including juice, yogart and fresh pastries which we had not expected. ... Friendly, clean, quiet and lovely breakfast- good value for money in Paris.

Very close to the mtero and only a few short stops from everything I wanted to see. The outdoor market, just down the street from the hotel, was so much fun to walk through everyday. For nine wonderful days I got to feel 'very French'.

The staff was always extremely helpful and accomdating to us. Our room was as described, and a quiet night was found every night. ... Fee for internet access. ... A small hotel, in town but out of the way of the hustle and bustle. For the price we got on the website, a very good value. The staff was always helpful. Having breakfast included (which tasted amazing) was a great value and a great way to wake up every morning.

The rooms were slightly smaller than they appeared to be in the pictures, but other than that they were nice and clean. Bathroom was clean too, well equipped, could've used a shower cap though. ... The receptionist was very polite and helpful, we announced the hotel that we would be leaving at 4:30 a.m. and would require a taxi, and the taxi was waiting in front of the hotel at 4:25. Also, the check-out process was very easy and speedy. ... The hotel has an excellent location, 3 metro stops from Etoile - Charles de Gaulle (L'Arc de Triomphe) and 3 metro stops from Pigalle. # metro stops = 20 minute walk. The metro station is a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Not very easy to find if you don't know your way around Villiers, because it's somewhere in a labirynth of small streets. Right around the corner from the hotel there's a beautiful street market, with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, cafes and all that. Very picturesque, you really get an insight of the parisian life. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable, and so are the bathrooms. However, the bed is not suitable for taller people (my boyfriend is 1.93 m and had a bit of a hard time sleeping). Service is good, staff is polite and helpful. Not very expensive and good value for the money. It was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Very good hotel in a very good price with comfortable localisation. The breakfasts were delicious. My 6 years old daughter loves the croissants, from our stay in Paris.

Delightful apart from cabbie getting very lost on the way to the hotel but that was predominantly due to one-way back streets and his lack of knowledge of the area. ... Staff have stunning attitude and the hotel is really quiet and relaxing with some excellent restaurants near by. ... Very chilled - central enough to be a few minutes from the action and yet calm enough to relax straight into the french attitude. Hotel nice and simple - clean, quiet and good value. Rooms are fairly small but a great pit-stop for a few days in Paris.

The rooms are ready from 3 p.m. and not from midday. ... The hotel is very nice and it's situeted in a quite area with several shops opened all the week, sunday included until 1 p.m. Not to miss the Monceau Park achievable after a short walk. The underground station (métro 3: villiers) is to less of 5 minutes.

Arriving by train from the Netherlands for a 3 night/4 day stay at your hotel, we had planned to get settle in and start our visit that afternoon since the room was supposed to be ready for NOON, we got there around 12:45 and found it wasn't! we WEREN'T told... I am terribly sorry,we had a few problems this morning,we will get on it right away but with it wouldn't be ready before 2:30.... Kinda taking a chunck out of our afternoon plans. We than decided to leave our bags and go around the corner for a bit to heat to give the gentleman with no smile time to send someone to do our room. I mentionned to him going out the door that we would be back before 2:30. We were back at 1:30pm and of course the room wasn't ready and still no explanation. When he saw how upset I was, HE THEN, got someone to go and do the room. HE should have sent someone as soon as we arrived. To resume; all he had to do was apologize when he greated us and take measures right away to correct the situation but he waited till I was boiling. After that my husband dealt with him. He may have had been having a bad day but we weren't until than.
On the up side: the rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The ladies doing them and at breakfast were courteous and wore smiles. It was quiet and well situated.
It is just to bad it started the way.. ... Rooms very very clean, impressed ... Very clean, well located close to Metro, to a cute street with outside vendors, the breakfast is very minimal..croissant. Down side, not to count on the room being ready or quick action to remedy the situation or a warm greeting from some at desk.
We appreciate and thank you for taking the time to ask for our comments

Only one thing was not normal if you compare it with other hotels: in addition we had to pay for the satelite-tv (only 3 chanels!). ... It was a very quiet hotel and perfect for a stay in Paris.

The rooms were very clean but very, very, small and cramped. ... Though the room was clean and cute it was way too expensive for that type of room. ... Quaint but too expensive for what you get. Worth staying there if they lowered the price considerably.

Perhaps I have to adjust my expectations for a Paris hotel at 140 Euros per night, but the hotel seemed more like a 2 star hotel than a 3 star hotel... ... The hotel was ok, not great, but perhaps I don't have enough data points to really judge.

Breakfast could be better The hotel's name suggests it has a garden and it's in fact true, but the garden is 2m x 2m and there is some machine there. Otherwise ok.
