Both receptionists are very nice , one
who welcome us when we arrived there and the other who we met on our going out and on our cheking out.
They were always smiling and very polite
and talked to us much with wit when I spoke of my stay there thirty years ago.

It is very happy and surprised that the view from the window is the same as
thirty years ago when I stayed at Hotel Saint Roch. At that time I could hear the
voices of the children who was going to
school. This time it maybe be during summer
holidays.
We are very satisfied that the hotel is located near Loubre and Tuillies
so that we could walk at night there and
find Comedy Francaise by chance because in
Japan I got several CDs of dramas of Moliere played by them.
So there was lot of fun staying at Hotel
Saint Roch. We thank you very much.

It was the second time that we stayed at the Hotel Saint Roch and we will do it again without doubt.
Internet was a bit slow, they have to improve it.

Good value for prime position in Paris. Certain things in the room needed attention ie:shower rail held up with string, bath plug unable to seat.

the hotel was exactly what was expected - no more, no less. we really appreciated the location at such a resonable cost. i felt very safe and comfortable during the time that i was there by myself.

I think there is another way to go to the hotel from the Orly airport : there is a bus called 'Orly Bus' that goes to the 'Denfert Rochereau' station. This station is important in Paris since you can get buses, subways or trains (RER) from there to the best of my knowledge. You can take a subway line to go to the 'Pyramide' station and then reach the hotel.

Concerning facilities, the available wireless system never worked with my laptop (it worked in all other hotels I have visited up to now). Apparently it does not work with all laptops (which seems weird and is somehow disturbing especially for foreigners) and the staff was not able to explain me why (kind of fatality !). Moreover the wireless system is not available in rooms, only at the hotel reception.
I also found the room really small (compared to its price) even if I know that Paris is not a cheap city. I think that photos on the web site do not explicitly show that.

The receptionist said to me that they can keep train tickets for their customers : if you have a trip with connections (one connection in Paris), you buy the train ticket Paris-City X and you ask SNCF (the French train company) to send it to the hotel address, the hotel will keep it for you until you arrive for your stay at the hotel and when you leave you will be able to go to the City X.
They can also reserve shuttles to go to the airport that are cheaper than taxis (25 euros for one person and 17 euros by person for 2 persons).
A clear advantage for people who want to renew visas (non-US customers), to visit museums or go to theaters is that the embassy of the USA in France, the Louvre and a number of theaters and monuments are at walking distance from the hotel.

A good location in Paris, breakfast are fine but it is better for people that are not claustrophobic, I really found the room too small.

Our room was in need of re-decorating (small holes in the wall, etc). Our daughter and family were in another room which was recently re-decorated and the difference was obvious. However, the premises were clean and the maid service adequate.
