The Hotel Maxim Quartier Latin Paris lies in the Latin Quarter, near the Pantheon and the Paradis Latin. The district is known as the Latin Quarter because Latin was the official language spoken here until 1793. The university tradition is still very much alive there and this district was the stage for the student demonstrations during the events of May 1968. There are many magnificent monuments here, such as the Pantheon, which dominates Paris from the top of Mont Ste-Geneviève. Take bus 47 until Censier-Daubeton stop, or bus 27 until Monge - Claude Bernard stop.
By subway:

By plane:
From Charles De Gaulle Airport take RER B towards Paris and descend at Châtelet station. Then take metro line number 7 and descend at Censier Daubenton.
From Orly Airport take RER B towards Paris. Descend at Denfert Rochereau station
Take metro line number 6 and descend at Place d'Italie. Then take line number 7 and descend at Censier Daubenton.
By train:
From Gare Montparnasse station, take metro line No.6 and descend at Place d'Italie, take line number 7 and descend at Censier.
From Gare Saint-Lazare station, take metro line No.14 and descend at Châtelet. Take metro line number 7 and descend at Censier Daubenton.
From Gare du Nord station, take RER B and descend at Châtelet. Take metro line number 7 and descend at Censier Daubenton.
From Gare de Lyon or Gare d'Austerlitz stations, take bus number 91 towards Pont d'Austerlitz Quai de la Râpée; descend at Saint Marcel Jeanne d'Arc (Rue Censier is two- minute walk away).
By car:
From motorways A1, A3, A6, A10, A13, A14 and A15, take the city bypass and exit at Porte d'Italie; follow signs to Place d'Italie (along Avenue d'Italie). Cross Place d'Italie and take Avenue des Gobelins. Then take Rue Monge and turn right on to Rue Censier. The hotel is on your left. |
