 The neighbourhood where Hotel Ermitage stands is full of restaurants, galleries and theatres: at the property no meals are served, but there are plenty of delightful where to enjoy breakfast or a light lunch in the typical Parisian atmosphere. The word "Ménilmontant" derives from "mesnil mautemps", which stands for "maison du mauvais temps" or "house of bad times". It was actually at these streets where Parisians used to stroll to in the 18th century in search of a nice "promenade" and some wine too -as taxes were not applied by the authorities in this part of the city-. |
