On the web site, in the description of nearby facilities, you describe the Opera House but don't actually name it. Your proximity to the BHV (a department store quite similar to Macy's) would interest many avid shoppers.

I was very pleased. The Hotel staff were all quite nice and accommodating. I had to use the manager's printer to print out something from the internet for a tour and they were great about letting me do it. The place was clean and it was in a perfect location. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends. Merci beaucoup!

Wonderful location. Convenient to Metro. Directly across from BHV department store. Good bistros and cafes nearby. Slightly expensive but well worth the extra euros.

The name of the Hotel is Duo now. The can
driver passed right by it and no one seemed
to know where the Axial Hotel was because of
the name change.
An amount was held from my account for a
deposit which was fine but I was not alerted
as to when the amount was taken out or how
much was being held. My bank called me to
let me know that someon was holdin money
from my accont - but there was no word from
the hotel and that caused some confusion

Excellent location. I was able to walk to many major sites on the right and left banks and public transportation was readily available. I found all kinds of places to have meals in the immediate vicinity.

The hotel did not have our reservation voucher when we arrived. The front desk attendant was very profeesional and was very sorry for the mixup. She made sure that we were placed in a hotel very close to the Hotel Axial Beaubourg. We came back the next day (there was room for us on Sunday)and were given a number of touring packages as a way of a customer service gesture. We learned the following day that the hotel did receive the voucher bt way of e-mail, but it was lost. We will stay at the Hotel Axial the next time in Paris partly because it is a lovely property in our favorite section of Paris and partly because the staff we encountered while staying there were polite, concerned about the mixup and they were honest about the mistake. I am in the travel industry and I will be sure to suggest the Hotel Axile Beaubourg to my clients staying in Paris.

Great little hotel, strategically located close to key attractions. Was very impressed by the quality of manangement. We were not only welcomed but felt it. Elizabeth (who greeted us) was so very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed her sunny disposition.

I have altready referred this hotel to other prospective tourists. I look forward to being able to stay at this hotel when i next visit Paris.
I do however strongly suggest that complimentary tea/coffee making facilities (ie a kettle and crockery) should be available for guests to use in the comfort and privacy of their room.

The only thing I would comment on is the size of the room....We were not able to get a Superior room (we had a room with two twin beds) and the picture on the internet of that room is deceiving, looking larger than it actually is...The closet space is very adequate and it was always perfectly cleaned...

I would say that it is not charming , but most adequate and convenient, neat , clean and try to get a large room!!!I would definitely stay there again.

The only negative was the size of the room. If one of us sat on the end of the bed, the other could not pass to get to the closet.

First of all we were given a room that had a nice view - but stank of cigarette smoke. I requested another room and got one that didn't smell but there was no view. Felt like a bit of a compromise.

I don't think you can specifically request a non-smoking room so you might get one that smells of smoke, like we did. If we'd had to stay there it would have been really unpleasant.

There was construction on the floor below us therefore we could not take stairs and the wireless internet was down for most of our stay. We needed to walk to an internet cafe down the street for service. The room was lovely, but quite small and a fight from drunken bar patrons took place right in front of our window at 2am that went on for nearly thirty minutes. We were on holiday so we dealt with it, but I were there on business it would have been a problem. On the positive, we were promptly brought a lovely breakfast each morning and the bathrooms were more spacious than anticipated. The reception staff was friendly and welcoming. The bartender was less attentive than expected.

Initially, we were told that the hotel would be unable to reserve a taxi for us because the policy states that the request must come exactly twenty-four hours prior to the time needed. We were two hours shy of that time and left to scramble find a way to the train station. At check out the next day, the receptionist was able to secure a car for us. I was appreciative of his efforts, but it felt like we were unnecessarily stressed out to find transportation.

The hotel is in a fun and busy area with lots of noisy bar patrons at night. The location is prefectly close to everything (trains, restaurants, sites and shopping). The rooms are tiny, so plan don't too much time inside or on your computer with the weak wireless signal. The bed was comfy with a nice sized bathroom (the heated towl racks a plus).

television channels advertised were not available for the entire length of my stay, and internet was unavailable for 1/2 my stay. my non-smoking room smelled entirely of cigarettes, so i was forced to sleep with the window open.
i reported both the television and the internet to several receptionists, but none passed the message on to the next worker.
the room was extremely small, even for one person.
one of the receptionists was VERY helpful and friendly, and has worked there for a long time. i went to her if i really needed anything. the others were less interested, and one night worker talked on his cell phone the whole time he was at the desk.

The room was cramped, though well designed to maximise space. The room had no colour, apart from one pink stool cover. Low on shower gel after first night, no replacements provided for the 2nd night. No shampoo, and no hand creams. For €240/night we would have expected flowers at least, as well.
In the breakfast bar service was rude and slow, and yet there were only 6-8 people present on both days. No alternatives to butter or milk offered, i.e. margarine and soya. It took 2 requests to get some ham.
Overall a disappointing stay.

Our only surpise was how small our room was, but the rest of the services, cleanliness and hotel's location made up for it.

the one time i tried to go to breakfast downstairs it wasn't quite ready at 7am. the server didn't seem very friendly, although she may have been in a rush to get things set up.
