The lift is so small, that you must love the second person in the lift very much or you better go alone.( 2 person lift, 150 kg ) The stairs were dirty and bad painted. I think, we have been looking for the worst Hotel in Paris - we found it. 42 Jears ago, when I lived in that Hotel for 6 month, you could accept it, now its only old, dirty and inacceptabel. ... Very, very busy surrounding ... Forget it!!!!

The street where the hotel is situated is very pretty and interesting and has many delicatesents and there are plenty of interesting restaurents very close. We were very pleasantly surprised by this ... As being good value for money, very convenient for travel on metro and in an area where shops and restaurents are plentiful and very varied and reasonable cost. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very basic but adequate

The rooms were tidy and neat, and the noise from the street didn't bother us. However, we did experience some noise within the building, in the staircase for example. We assume that it comes with the fact that it was an old building, and felt we couldn't complain about it. It wasn't too bad. ... Perhaps it would be a good idea to point out that the location is indeed very good, since it's so close to Metro Cadet. I thought the hotel was much further away from things like the Louvre and Montmartre than it really was. ... As a rather small and cosy hotel with nice clean rooms, great location and very good value for money.

We were not directed to a specific Metro stop. The Cadet is right at the end of the street they are on and was very convenient once we found it. It would have been helpful to know that when we had suitcases and were trying to find the hotel. The street was tricky to find. ... It was a great room for a family of four. nicely decorated and spacious. It was off a very charming closed street/alley way which was nice and quiet. ... The breakfast was kind of skimpy. Coffee, Tea and Juice. One crossant per person and french bread with jams. Was the same each day. More variety would have been nice and maybe some eggs or meat. ... Excellent for a family. Well priced and good location. We would definantly recommend this hotel.

Our room was clean and newly decorated, but the hallway was very shabby and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. It was a bit off-putting at first. Also, there was a lot of noise in the corridor and hallway - we were next to the stairwell and could hear doors banging, guests talking etc. sometimes very late at night. Don't know what could be done about sound-proofing. Generally, we were satisfied, given that it was a 2 star hotel. ... The hotel was a bit shabby, but the rooms were clean, and it was in a good location. Easily accessible to the Metro and Gare du Nord.

The property has six floors, but the elevator only reaches to the fourth. My room was on the six. You must include photos of the place where the Hotel is. ... The place is clean, cheap, but is a little far from the major atracctions.

We arrived early to the hotel. They held our bags so that we could explore the city while we were waiting to get into the room. ... The pictures on the site look nothing like the actual hotel. ... You could kick the door down to the room with your foot. The pillow was one long pillow that ran the width of the bed -- the pillow case was a sheet wrapped around the pillow. The bathroom was good for European standards.

All went well, however, the night clerk was not able to really help us due to a lack of fluency in English. He was helpful, but better language skill would have given us more information.
