By plane: The main airports in the outskirts of Paris are quite close to the property: Orly is 21 kilometres away, and Charles de Gaulle, 29 kilometres. From both terminals it is really simple to reach the Grand Hotel on public transport, as the RER train service comes to the heart of the city in a few minutes.
By car: - From Orly airport: take highway A106 towards "Créteil/ Versailles/ Paris" and as you pass close to Rungis, get on A6. As you approach Chevilly-Larue, continue along A6B/E15/E50, then E15 and get off at the exit for "A5/ TROYES/ METZ/ NANCY/ MARNE-LA-VALLÉE/ CRÉTEIL". Continue along Quai de Bercy towards "Paris-Centre/ Bastille" and take Port Morland. Turn right in Boulevard Morland, left in Quai des Celestins and continue along Place de l`Hotel de Ville. Go along Avenue Victoria, veer left in Rue de Rivoli, right in Rue de Louvre and left again in Rue du Colonel Driant. Continue along Rue de Valois and you will find the inn on number 4, in front of Palais Royal. (26 minutes drive). - From Charles de Gaulle airport: get on motorway A1/E19 towards "SAINT-DENIS/ CERGY/ PONTOISE/ PARIS-CENTRE/ PARIS-PORTE DE LA CHAPELLE" and drive along it for around 17 kilometres, before the exit signalled as "ROUEN/ PORTE DE CLIGNANCOURT/ PÉRIPHÉRIQUE OUEST". Continue along Boulevard Périphérique and get off at the exit D 111 "Porte de Saint Ouen". As you arrive in Paris, take Avenue de Saint Ouen, veer left in Avenue de Clichy, continue along Rue d`Amsterdam, Rue du Havre and Avenue de l`Opera. Turn left in Rue du Saint Honoré, again in Rue des Bons Enfants and finally, one last time in Rue du Colonel Driant. (35 minutes).
By train: Whether you arrive at Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports, you can take the railway service RER B (connecting the terminals at both ends) and get off at Châtelet station. Change to the metro (line 1, direction La Défense) and descend from the subway at Palais Royal/Musee du Louvre station, placed only 100 metres far from the hotel. From there, just walk along Rue de Saint Honoré and turn left into Rue de Valois. Bear in mind that Palais Royal/Musee du Louvre station belongs to both line 1 and 7 of the metro network. |
