Very friendly. And, even though we arrived early from the airport, our room was ready. ... One should note the hotel in under renovation until March 2008. However, the noise cannot be heard in the rooms that are currently available. ... Fantastic hotel! I would definately stay there again and highly recommend it to others based on the exceptional location and friendly staff.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly upon arrival, but not quite as friendly at any other time. The lobby was clean, cozy, and welcoming. ... The gentleman at the front desk in the evenings was much more knowledgable and helpful than the other staff. The room was great, with a view of the Tower, and it was in a great location to see sites, eat, and shop. The concierge arranged cars to and from the airport, and made dinner suggestions, as well as provided us with maps of the city. I will definitely stay there if I ever find myself in Paris again. ... I was allowed to check out the night before we departed because we had such an early flight that we had to leave the hotel at 5:00 am. ... No negatives, just a comment about the lift. It is very small and only 2 people or 1 person with their suitcase can fit in it at a time. Other than that, this hotel was great! ... Very clean, comfortable, and inviting in a great location with a great view of the Eiffel Tower (at least our room had one).

I specifically wanted the room that was shown online as having a perfect view of the Eiffel tower. We did receive a room with somewhat of a view of the tower however it wasn't the one specified. I also thought that the price included breakfast and we were told it did not. No big deal, we enjoyed our stay none-the-less. ... The room had a strong smoke odor that was attempted to be masked by an air freshner that was very powerful. Together the two scents made it a bit difficult to sleep. ... Nice hotel, small rooms, great walk from the Eiffel tower.

The room was clean, but not exactly spacious; on the second night 18/10/04, other guests in a room next to us were very loud and the noise went on long after midnight. Perhaps we should have informed the manager, but unfortunately we didn't.
My sister and I like our stay at Duquesne. It was my first time there, but my sister had stayed there three years ago on her visit in Paris. ... It is quaint and had an old-world charm.

If I were old, fat or anything but in the 'norm' it would be very difficult for me to go in and out of the shower. The guest has to sort of 'climb' from he toilet and into the shower because the shower glass is located exactly where you usually enter a shower so you have to be very carefull going out of the shower for example if the floor was wet and you are stepping out of the shower exactly where the toilet is. Very tight and insecuring we thougt. ... Very nice and CLEAN ( which I think is very important ) hotel. Little and cosy. I would definately go there again! The hotel is situated in the centrum almost and is not expancive. Good service also. The pillows were not comfortable though and I got a strainy neck following my stay but other than that, very nice stay and we enjoyed it alot.

We were very happy with the location of the room allocated to us - a direct view of the Eiffel Tower. What more could you want?! The room was very small, but clean and neat and met our needs for our short stay. ... Separate bathroom and toilet. ... Compact, but good quality and in an excellent position. We asked for a room with a view and we got it - of the Eiffel Tower! Very handy to Les Invalides and to Metro.

Woman at the front counter was very courteous and helpful. She made us aware of the breakfast available at the hotel and the times it was available. ... The view was great. Location was good. Bathroom was very modern. Rooms are smaller than North America but I expected as much. I enjoyed our stay in Paris and would return again. ... I would give very good value, but we are not used to paying so much for such a room. Having said that, our experience was just as expected. We only stay in the hotel at night and for that it was great.
The only drawback was that the bed mattress was a little hard. ... The hotel is very close to rue cler, to pick up breakfast or other items such as cheese and bread. ... A very clean, quiet hotel close to subway and eiffel tower. Views from the room were amazing. This central location enabled us to travel to different sites in and around Paris easily.

Good service. All people we interacted with were very polite and helpful. Since we are from Asia, we are sometimes concerned about people being rude, but that was not the case here. Paris is kool! ... Great view from the hotel room. The extra 25EURO spent to get a room with a view was worth it!! ... Information such as the proximity of 'ethnic' restaurants. A thai restaurant next door and an Indian restaurant a block away ...both good ... Clean, small hotel, friendly people, centrally located. BIG PLUS very close to Eiffel tower. Since we had a baby, it was the prefect place

We were very happy with the accomdations. The breakfast was good as well. Thank you. ... The attitude of the receptionist could have been more friendly and smiling. At times I felt as though I was intruding on her when I asked for help.

Just that the room was unprepared upon arrival and that no chambermaid was available so it was suggested that we 'come back in a few hours' - Once we were there though the room was fine - small but fine - and had the view of the Eiffel tower that we requested so, on balance, we were happy. ... It looks much 'cuter' on the website

We arrived at approximately midnight, and were welcomed by two very nice members of staff who were only too willing to help. ... Our room, even though it was a bit on the small side, was very nicely decorated, and provided everything we could have asked for in a hotel. ... The room was very clean, quiet and private, but I would not class it as spacious, I would say it was a little on the small side.

Couldn't meet the schedule of shuttle bus which I booked in advance. Because of the bad late-afternoon traffic plus car accident on the highway. The driver was reasonable and hotel immediately noticed that I didn't arrived by shuttle bus. ... It is very helpful if the website had exact room size in square-metres. The room was very nice and clean but the size was rather smaller than the photographs. ... Paris is very expensive, that's I can't blame on the hotel. so I think I paid for service and smile at Duquesne Eiffel staff. ... very good access to Saint Germain-de-pres by bus from opposite side of the hotel. ... It was very quiet but very convenience neighbourhood. It is highly recommended if you prefer travelling by bus in Paris. It is nicer to take bus than metro in Paris, there are special bus lanes to avoid traffics, no hustle of stairs! It is not confusing at all.

Hotel Duquesne Eiffel did not have my reservation. They were completely booked and moved us to Hotel Splendid. The lobby was being remodeled and was quite a mess. All the furniture was misarranged and covered with cloths.
