I came from an overnight flight and arrived very early in Paris. I had to wait untill 2PM to get a room. When I finally got to the room, the air conditionning wasn't working, but I was told to wait a little bit that very soon it would be OK. It was terrible and at the end of the day I had to change to another room but still with almost no air. ... What I liked most about the Meliá Colbert was its location. Beautiful and quiet litlle street very close to the crowd.

The street (Rue hotel Colbert) is not on many maps because it is short and small. The taxidriver we had from the airport to the hotel had to look at my map to find the exact location. ... The hotel have a fantastic situation close to the river, Latin Quarter and the Notre dame. We could see the Notre dame from the windows of our suite. A lot of restaurants and bars close by and many people in the streets at night. The hotel is in a very quiet street, so there are no traffic noise ! Exellent breakfast.

Flawless. Also excellent recommendations for restaurants. ... Have stayed at this hotel for 30 years, wife's first visit. The location is five star: cathedral Notre Dame is 1 1/2 blocks away, interesting nightlife 1 block away one direction, the Seine River the other direction, 1 1/2 blocks from Metro (subway), easy access to all trains and C.DeGuall Airport. We walked to most typical tourist attractions but the Metro has stops that are usually closer together than the London underground AND is faster than the Underground. Hotel has only 60 rooms but feels like less. Beautiful!
A.M. meal is superb. ... We stayed an extra day, the hotel accommodated without problem.
My computer signals that #11 not answered. Error! Staff always prepared and available. ... King sized bed = two twins pushed together
All of question #10
Absolutely no problems. For concerns about not speaking French: the people are polite, gracious, welcoming EVERYWHERE. Even the chambermaid at the hotel spoke English. ... Small elegant, exclusive hotel, without room service, on a street named after it, with excellent service and location. Also Also all of questions #10,14 & 15.

nice, best hotel we think in St.Germain de Pres, very clean, very good continental breakfast, not only milkcoffee and brioche, and the best.... it is so quiet that you don't believe that you are in a town with more than 2,1 Mill. people. But you have to walk a longer way if you want to sit in the Cafes 'de Flore' and 'Deux Magots'. On the other side you have the Notre Dame before your nose

This was my fifth stay at the hotel, so I knew exactly what to expect. The hotel was great, it was the rest of Paris that was a nightmare.

My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon and the hotel management graciously sent a bottle of champagne to our room.

My third stay at the Colbert, so we knew what to expect. The only problem was the renovations going just outside the window, but that is understandable. We will be back.
