castex Hotel is excellently placed to visit all the sights of Paris. It is also exremely close to many restaurants and shops.

They did our best to accommodate us early since my husband was not feeling well, carried our luggage to our room and did not hassle us about vouchers, etc.

The room was wonderful as my daughter was joining us and they gave us two rooms together to accommodate her. The location is excellent, and the staff able to help in so many ways.

They were so kind as to allow us to remain in the lobby for an hour after we checked out to await our transfer. We were able to use the internet to check our mail and have a friend meet us to talk.

I did not know that the breakfast was additional. In many cases in Europe the breakfast is included and that surprised me or I did not read it closely enough.

It was a lovely accommodation in a fabulous location where we could walk to whatever we wanted. We didn't even take the metro once. We did a tour that picked us up at the hotel and a cab twice, but the metro is just up the street if needed. The hotel is warm and friendly, the staff speaks and understands English and was helpful and accommodating. The room, while small, was well equipped and very clean. The bath also while small, was new, fresh smelling, and the towels and linens lovely. We had a tv, phone, a view of the courtyard. The area is quiet, residential, lots of restaurants and shops around the street...just perfect. Will return.

The people that worked on reception all had excellent English.

We found our bedroom to be very small and quite cramped but as we were not in the room much it was o.k.

When we were checking out i asked the guy at reception what Metro to take to be able to catch our bus for the airport. He seemed to be sure of where to go and reasured us. We took the metro he surgested and inturn missed our bus. We would have rather he would have said he had no idea than to send us in the total opposite direction !!!

Clean small hotel that is in the heart of a beautiful part of Paris . Very close to the Metro and some great places to eat just around the corner. Room was very small but clean.

I wish the bed was in one piece instead of two. The two single beds were kept together with Velcro and it became undone quiet frequently and the beds will get separated with about a foot in between. But, besides for that little nuisance, the Hotel and most of the receptionist were superb.

Close to public transportation and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very clean, quiet, private, and most of the personnel were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

Extremely pleased with the accomodation taking into consideration location, presentation, service, overall quality and price. The room was small but very comfortable, with adequate storage and two lovely big windows opening over a the coutyard.

We had a lovely double room off the courtyard - great for 2 adults and 2 young children as there was a bathroom and 2 doors between the childrens' room and ours. The hotel is in a quiet street but close to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, due to my flight being cancelled, I did not arrive at the hotel until the second night of the reservation. I called the night before to explain the situation, but still had to pay for that first night (in addition to that same night at a hotel in Florence where my flight was canceled.) If it was not my fault, I don't think I should have had to pay for that first night.

The hotel is in an excellent location. For the price, the accommodations were quite good, including a brand new bathroom in the room. The staff was polite when confronted, but rather indifferent otherwise.

The staff at Castex were very polite, nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there very much. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, such delicious fresh croissants and plentiful.

Our room was clean, nicely furnished and quite comfortable. My only one complaint is that the room was a bit narrow, the beds nearly touching the opposite wall.

The Castex is ideally located in the Marais and conveniently located near the Bastille Metro station with plenty of train options. The staff are friendly and polite and very welcoming. The breakfast was better than expected. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated but a bit narrow. On the whole, very good value for the money.

We were only there for one night - arrived late afternoon and left early morning so all we can say was that it was very nice - no problems - bathroom great - staff helpful and spoke good English - which is better than our bad French! Lobby nicely done.
