we loved this small but charming hotel. very centrally located in a great area. superb breakfast served by very polite and friendly staff. the owner's son is a bit 'grumpy and french! but the girl who worked there in the afternoon was lovely.
the rooms are very small but this is not a problem as they are beautifully decorated. beds were comfortable and the two extra pillows we requested were provide in minutes.
we would definatley return and recommend to friends and family. ... see above
perhaps one tiny comment !
not sure if you mention that the rooms are small!
we are both quite short people so it was not an issue but if you were honey monsters then i think it would be a problem!!! ... see above! ... a charming and delightful hotel, centrally located within a bustling and thriving neighbourhood.

Reception was always helpful and pleasant. ... The room was spacious, by Paris standards, and was cleaned in a timely and efficient manner. ... The location was superb, the breakfast excellent, the hotel charming. ... In the heart of the Marais, convenient to metro and other desirable destinations (Notre Dame, Bastille, Picasso museum). ... Excellent, the only downside was the bed, which seemed a bit old, soft and dipped in the middle.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel, and greatly exceeded all of my expectations. It really does convey the ambience of an eighteenth century Paris hotel, and does so without seeming concocted. ... Alain (one of the owners)was extremely gracious and helpful. He went so far as to loan me some Euros while I waited for a miscommunication with my bank to be resolved! He is also fully fluent in English, not merely somewhat fluent. ... The absolute best place to stay in Paris for a very quaint, yet realistic, experience of the 18th century Marais.

We found the staff very helpful. The gentleman at the desk received us very warmly and was able to answer all our questions. The entrance into the hotel lobby is absolutely delightful and we loved it. ... Room service was prompt and staff were always very friendly and polite. Our room was really very lovely. ... The gentleman at the desk was very helpful, and assisted us to our taxi, he had impeccable manners even though he was very busy with several other people awaiting his assistance at the desk. ... If you want a lot hotel that is absolutely romantic, quiet and private, this is the place! Definitely a retreat after a busy day exploring Paris! It is a step back in time and you can visualise the people living here in the 18th century. Very, very lovely.

Receptionist couldn't have been nicer. I felt like he was sitting there waiting just for me. ... Can't remember the last time I got a hand-written receipt from a hotel! It cetainly topped-off the whole personal experience of my stay. ... fresh flowers in the room - a small arrangement, just a few tulips, but they were refreshed during my short stay and they were such a lovely touch.
Bath robe, high quality soap and bath salts are worth a mention as well. Oh, and providing a corkscrew was very thoughful! ... A small, intimate hotel equiped with the ammenities of larger venues. (flat screen TVs, bath robes, hair dryers, mini bar, etc.)

The appearance of the hotel lived up to expectations. ... The Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais provided quality accommodation in an excellent location. ... The check out was well organised. ... The Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is an exquisite boutique hotel, superbly located for the tourist in the Marais District of Paris.
The rooms are stylish and 'oh so French'. The quality of the fabrics used (curtains, wallpapers, upholstery and bedding) is exceptional.
The rooms have nearly all the amenities one expects from a four star hotel, even though the hotel is rated three stars.
The level of cleanliness was superb, and the rooms have obviously been recently refurbished, so everything was bright and fresh within its design context.
The rooms have been well sound proofed, which is essential in central Paris, so our sleep was undisturbed by the 'business' of Paris and other guests.
We appreciated a number of special touches which were not expected, such as the quality toiletries and the bathrobes.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. On a very hot day they even turned on our airconditioning while we were out doing our tourist thing.
There were a few shortcomings, such as the size of the rooms and their beds, but this is typical of Paris.
For the experienced traveller access to in-room coffee and tea making facilities is a must. This unfortunately was not provided by the hotel.
It was our first night on a long holiday in France and Spain, and it started it off well.

The hardest part of our arrival was waiting for a cab at the train station. Everything about the hotel was super ... I would highly recommend this Hotel - it was my second time there in the last 5 years and remains great value for the money. The staff are courteous and polite. The hotel is very well situated for all the museums and streetlife of Paris. Although our room was small (as expected) the ambience and charm was perfect. It feels like a little slice of Paris.

We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to friends. ... I don't think 'spacious' quite descrbes the room but it was quiet and comfortable. ... Staff was helpful and friendly. ... Within walking distance of most Paris sites a tourist wants to see. ... Beautiful old world charm in a downtown location.

I was escorted to my room and helped with my luggage, given a map, etc. Very personal attention. ... I have never encountered a kinder, more accomodating staff anywhere. Breakfast delivered to my room within about 5 minutes! Amazing! A lovely tray with cheese and pate and fruit in addition to the usual continental fare. The rooms are small, left-bank size, which was something I was prepared for as I had found it mentioned in an article reviewing hotels. But I was often asked if I was happy in my small room. I found it just fine for one person, especially as it was so well appointed, just the ambiance one would want in Paris. In both the room and the lovely small lobby (really more like a salon), one was happily reminded of the famous Monsieur Beaumarchais, whose profile and music and letters(facsimiles, of course)were well in evidence. ... I arranged my bill the night before which they were only too happy to do, so I was just whisked out the door and into my taxi to the airport. ... Perhaps emphasis on the accomodating staff and the fun of the Marais area, which has a more neighborhoody feel than the areas with Haussmann's grand boulevards. It was always a pleasure to spot the welcoming bright blue facade and to come 'home' after a long day out. ... Charming, cozy, cheerful, accomodating, with the kindest of staffs. Located in a most interesting historic area with wonderful shops and restaurants and especially museums. A person alone feels very safe and can easily move to other areas from one of the two nearby metro stations.

The room was charming. We LOVED the breakfast. A thoroughly positive experience! ... It was so easy that I hardly made note of it. ... A charming, small hotel well-located within walking distance of many major Parisienne sites. The rooms are clean, well appointed and quiet. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends...without hesitation.

Upon our arrival, the staff rushed to the door to relieve us of our luggage. ... My roommate said she was told that the mini-bar was included. Apparently she misunderstood, as we were charged at the end of our stay. That was really not a big deal, as one should typically expect to pay extra for the mini-bar. However, there was no price list posted in the room, or anywhere else. This was the only glitch in our stay. ... The hotel was lovely. The room was large enough for comfort, very clean and beautifully decorated; a warm French atmosphere. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, it felt like 'home'. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. They did an excellent job arranging our return to the airport with a reliable, friendly taxi driver. I would highly recommend Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais.

The devil is in the details - Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais pays attention to every little detail. The rooms are both beautiful and very functional with exquisite little touches like bathrobes, perfumed soaps, mini-bar, surprising amount of wardrobe space, mini balconette with table & chairs - I could go on and on. ... Great location in the Marais - walk anywhere, easy access to Metro, quiet overnight, great restaurants. Charming hotel run by gracious hosts who made us feel welcome. I would return again and again.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The check-in procedure took very little time. ... Rooms quite clean, attractive and nicely appointed but small -- but then few Parisian rooms are spacious. There was occasional transference of noise and cigarette smoke from the adjoining room, but this was not intrusive and may be less noticeable when the air conditioning is on. ... Very easy and efficient. Again, the staff was quite helpful. ... Superb location, large breakfasts reasonably priced (not included in room rate). ... A small, attractive hotel close to a metro and within easy walking distance of many sights and good restaurants. The rates are a very good value when compared to comparable hotes. I intend to stay there on my next trip to Paris.

internet connection was not working for half the stay.
a double bed should be a single bed large enough to accomodate two people, not two single beds pushed together and which do not stay together when occupied. ... although the staff were most pleasant, the rate charged normally commands better accomodation elsewhere in Paris ... 'double room' does not mean double bed. ... nice, very friendly, but a little pricey - and not a proper bed

Most staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and pleasant; one man, however, was so consumed in his computere that you could not get much help out of him.
Room seemed extremely small, even by Paris standards. ... I would say that it is very well located, nice lobby, very capable staff, good continental breakfast, but the room we had was barely large enough to hold the double bed.

-The hotel is very clean and quiet -No shower curtain in the bathroom -No guarentee on room requests ... We loved the cleanliness and the lovely decor in the room. The mornings were very queit and we didn't hear noise from other guests or on the street. The breakfast that was made avalible in the mornings was to die for. However, the room looks a lot bigger on the website and there was no shower curtain in the room which made showering slightly challenging. In addition they do not seem to guarentee any specific accomadations upon booking. You just seem to get what you get. We did not get the balcony we requested, so no matter how many days ahead you book, don't expect a balcony. However, the receptionist was very accomodating and helpful when it came to booking reservations.

Great location, wonderful staff, clean rooms but small rooms if one chooses a room at the garden level facing the rear of the building. These are the least expensive rooms so the small size is to be expected. I loved the hotel and plan to return next year.

There is a pull off space in front of the hotel, but it was occupied by trucks doing construction across the street. Our taxi had to go across the street and park and we walked back. (The man at the desk in the hotel did help us with our luggage.) ... We had a beautiful room. I didn't care for the lobby. It was not inviting to me. It looked in disarray and like 'things' were just there with no particular order.
It was a lovely breakfast. ... It was a nice hotel, but I didn't care for the area. It was too close to the Rue di Rivoli and there were only a few restaurants within very close walking distance.
